While living in Los Angeles, she was awarded an Emmy for her work producing and writing the daytime talk show "Woman to Woman." She loves working with the staff and volunteers at All Souls, saying, "It's a privilege to be working for an organization that champions the civil rights of all people."

Diana has loved her husband, Joel, for over 30 years, having met him when they were both acting in a play in Lubbock, Texas. Their Westie, Molly, rescued the Hugheses from a conventional life and enjoys being their perpetual two year old, in a good way. Diana's motto is, as Red Green says, "We're all in this together."
