“Music Sunday” with Anthony Edwards & All Souls Choir, May 6, 11:15 a.m.

Every year our Music Program celebrates music in the life of our congregation by offering large choral works. This year we explore the life and poetry of Virginia Hamilton Adair and the music of Gwyneth Walker in “An Hour to Dance.”  The offering will benefit the LRD and Music Programs.

“An Hour to Dance”

A world of unique poetic imagery of life's mysteries, romance and dance.

Music that is true to the rhythms and melodic flow inherent in Adair's verse.

Willow Productions presents:

Martine Lock & Band

Martine Locke & Band in Concert                                                              February 18th, 8pm, Bragg
$12 in Advance $15 at the Door

Australian singer/songwriter Martine Locke has never worked a 9 to 5 job. She has never worn a skirt to work. She has never had straight hair. She has never played the tuba.  She has had only one dream her entire life.  To play music.

Put driving acoustic rhythms together with alternate tunings, a powerhouse voice, intelligent stage  banter and intimate life stories that will leave you wiping the tears from laughter one minute and pondering the next. Combine that with the delicate harmonies and passionate percussiveness of  Dionne Ward and you almost have described an evening with Martine Locke. (Let it be known that one needs to be in the room to truly experience this, as no words will do it justice.)

International Dancing

International Dancers and All Souls Social Responsibility Board Sponsor:   Dance and Refreshments/Music by Continental Drift International Folk Ensemble

Sunday, Feb. 19, 5-8 pm, Conover                                                                Suggested Donation $10 per person/Benefits: Westport Presbyterian Church

The recent fire at Westport Presbyterian affected the community as well as the congregation, as many community groups had meeting and office space at that location.   Westport Presbyterian has been very supportive of the local dance community over the years, including international dancing, which started at All Souls.
