All Souls Kansas City

Training of Poll Monitors

Starts: October 27, 2018 @ 2:00pmEnds: October 24, 2018 @ 4:00pm

The League of Women Voters, NAACP, and ACLU are just a few of the local organizations supporting Election Protection efforts to station “poll monitors” outside poll sites to inform voters of their right to vote, their right for assistance for voting if impaired, and even the right to vote at the curb if needed. Problems arise for some voters and poll monitors are there to ensure no one is deprived of their right to vote.  Volunteer poll monitors are stationed 25 feet outside the polls.

Volunteers are needed to monitor polls to assist voters and lawyers and law students are needed to answer calls in the legal command centers. Flexible three-hour shifts available on November 6. Monitors may work in pairs so bring a friend to work with you.

Election Protection ( is the nation’s largest non-partisan election monitoring and assistance program. Attorney Denise Lieberman will conduct training of poll monitors at All Souls on Saturday, Oct 27.
