The mission of the Green Sanctuary Committee is to educate and encourage action demonstrating our seventh principle, “Respect for the interdependent web of all existence, of which we are a part.”
All Souls was designated a GREEN Sanctuary in 2008, having met specific requirements on recycling and energy efficiency. Currently the Green Sanctuary committee meets on the first Thursday of each month at All Souls, 5:30 p.m.
The Green Sanctuary committee is continuing to explore the possibility of having a CSA, Community Supported Agriculture, program for the members of All Souls to purchase organic, locally grown produce.
Finally, the committee recently provided a state-of-the-art composter for use at All Souls and Simpson House, located in the far corner of the parking lot.
