The upcoming projects for this committee include hosting House Parties to discuss important work that is being done at the U.N., with the goal of building support for the annual convention of G.A.M.E., the Global And Multicultural Education organization, that holds its event in October each year.
In the recent past, the UU-UNO committee sponsored a Sunday Service that highlighted a Kansas City Youth trip to the U.N. To participate in the Commission on the Status of Women and Children. This month, the committee helped sponsor a Sunday Plus lunch to raise money for the group to travel to the U.N. Nine local high school students, leave on 02/25/2012 and will be making a presentation to the U.N. Commission about the Kansas City Roots for Refugee program.
