The human body and other forms from nature have a beauty That is irresistible to me. I like to use these forms along with geometric shapes and lines as the base or anchor for my paintings. Colors, glazes, shapes, and textures are added. As each element is applied, the composition is moved forward until the final balance is achieved. Although my work is abstract, I incorporate Representations of items from my everyday life and the world around me. Cottonwood trees have a very special meaning to me, and many of my pieces contain impressions of cottonwood leaves and branches.
