Sunday Service | June 27, 2021 – 11:00 AM – “National gathering Service” with Rev. Kendyl Gibbons
June 27 @ 4:00 PM - 5:15 PM CDT
Join thousands of UU congregations and members from across the country for our shared General Assembly worship service. We will start a few minutes earlier than our normal 11:15 time frame — tune in at 11:00 to catch the whole program, including fabulous music and inspirational messages from leaders at First Universalist Church in Minneapolis. These folks have been at the heart of the resistance since the murder of George Floyd and the trial of Derek Chauvin, following the call of their faith to make a difference in the community. Celebrate our collective voice, and then join your local UU friends at 2:00 on our beautiful church grounds for an in-person gathering. See below for more details about this event.
Outside In Person!
Our first in person community event after the pandemic season will be an outdoor ice cream social on Sunday, June 27, from 2:00 – 4:00. We will have brownie sundaes and root beer floats, with lots of tables for sitting, or bring your own comfy lawn chairs. There will be bounce houses for both younger and older children. Our grounds offer plenty of space for social distancing if you are more comfortable with that, and we urge everyone to continue wearing masks when not eating. We will have options for identifying your preferred greeting style — some folks are hoping for lots of hugs, others appreciate more restraint, and it’s all good. The building will be open for use of restrooms, but we will try not to congregate inside, since that is not yet quite as safe. Enjoy participating in the UUA national General Assembly Sunday online service starting at 11:00, and then come celebrate our All Souls community live at 2:00; it will be such a joy to see each other!
